David and Janet welcome you!

Our friends Richard and Nasura Frankel have built in the past three years a wonderful, beautiful, comfortable home at the foot of the forested mountains near the Mae Fah Luang campus.  Richard teaches at the same university environmental program as does David; they have known each other for (literally) 40 years, since they taught together at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok in 1968/69.  Near their home is a cute little restaurant owned and run by an entrepreneur named "Ping Pong" (really!!!).  Photos below show both the Frankel's home and Ping Pong's restaurant.

Richard & Nasura's beautiful home
An incredible carved teak table near the pond
Two old friends relaxing; the painting above them was done by an elephant (really!!!)
A traditional rice storage house, made into Richard's office
Enjoying the view from Ping Pong's restaurant
And the food is good, too....
What a view, indeed....
RIchard & Ping Pong crossing the bridge from the restaurant
