Rai Mae Fah Luang is one of our favorite spots in Chiang Rai. It is
hard to describe, however -- 50 acres of beautiful gardens with several
of the most beautiful buildings one has ever seen, totally made of teak
(no nails even). The "Hoh Kham" building, in particular, has a feeling
that to David and Janet is indeed quasi-religious.
We have been
to this place four or five times already, each time seeing new
beautiful sights. Once we attended a solo violin concert in the
evening. Other times we have taken guests to share the experience with
us. |
